Methylation

Methylation is the genetic chemistry that actually runs the day to day processes of your body.  Knowing the problem areas in your daily chemistry and supporting them correctly can create large improvements in health. It's like creating a unique multivitamin specifically tailored to your genetics. As we age we turn on negative gene expression that didn't occur earlier in life. This can cause you to inherit disease processes from your ancestors. There's a new science called epigenetics. If you have a good lifestyle and take the proper supplements you may be able to prevent negative genetic expression and avoid the disease processes of your ancestors.

  If you're interested in a methylation evaluation:

1. To begin, please go to www.ancestry.com. Ancestry.com is more thorough than 23 and me for genetic testing.
2. On the left side of the screen, click on the box that says “Take a DNA test and uncover your origins” and 
3. Once the next page loads, select “BUY NOW” under the Ancestry DNA option (do not order the Ancestry Health kit). The kit is $99 unless you are ordering during a promotion.
4. On the following page, you will input your information and order the kit. You can also choose to order the kit through Amazon. 
5. Once the kit is delivered, follow the instructions inside the box for registering the kit and collecting/shipping the sample. 
6. You will receive emails as your sample is received and goes through processing. Results do take about 4-6 weeks to be completed. 
7. Once your results are finished, you will receive an email and at that point you will need to log in to your account to download your raw data. To download your raw data, go to ancestry.com and sign in to your account with the email and password that you created when registering your kit.
8. From there, click on the DNA tab on the top black toolbar and select “Your DNA Results Summary” then click on SETTINGS on the right side of the page. 
9. Then click the DOWNLOAD RAW DNA DATA button on the right side of the page. 
10. You will then need to re-enter your password and click CONFIRM. This will trigger an email containing a link to confirm the download. 
11. The link will expire after seven days. If the email is deleted or never arrives, please restart the process. 
12. Open the email and clock Confirm Data Download. 
13. Click Download DNA RAW DATA. The file will then download to your computer. 
14. Once you have downloaded the raw data zip file, please attach it in an email and send to [email protected]
15. Then contact me to schedule a genetic appointment, the cost for an evaluation and supplement recommendations is $150.
